About Us

AiA is an online travel planning and transportation company for wheelchair users based out of Washington State. We strongly believe that creating accessibility is supporting ability, and those in wheelchairs can successfully thrive as sightseers and travelers. We understand the transportation gap that is often encountered when traveling, and we strive to offer affordable and comfortable solutions.  We also provide information resources for those who want to explore locally and internationally. How did AiA begin? AiA is passionate about travel. As walkers, we enjoy traveling without having to address the concerns that mobility impaired individuals face.  During our adventures, we'd often see empty wheelchair designated parking spaces, which made us wonder if the reason wheelchair users were not frequently seen delighting in the best this state has to offer was due to lack of accessible transportation.  There are so many great exploration opportunities we want people to know about, such as the national parks, that are fully accessible, as well as many of the local, picturesque, seasonal activities, like the tulip festival, which are wheelchair friendly.  There is also wine tastings and tours at the local vineyards, exploring the German town of Leavenworth, and the numerous festivals throughout the year. With the plethoras of things to do in Washington State, we felt  that everyone should have the opportunity to experience them.

Thus the idea of AiA was born.  After working with and observing the barriers that wheelchair users encountered; we created a solution specifically to enabled them to participate in experiences outside of their home or neighborhood without the barrier of transportation.  With the explosion of Van, RV and Bus renovations, we decided to renovate our own buses to be fully wheelchair accessible with a few passenger seats for our walking friends or loved ones to come along. 

At AiA,  we do the driving and the planning, and you do the exploring. Come just as you are and explore the world outside your front door!
